Kristen Anne Bell was born in 1980. She's an American singer and actress. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier) and is an RN and Tom Bell, a television news director. Kristen is Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen discovered her passion for entertainment from a young age. She was able to land her first part in an audition for Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell's mother signed her up with an agency before turning 13 years old. She later appeared on television commercials as well as newspaper advertisements. At this time Bell also started private acting lessons. Bell had a minor role, uncredited on the film Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, where she was a member of the musical and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school and she won the role as Dorothy. Bell went to the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell completed her studies in 2001, left her university studies to perform the role Becky in Tom Sawyer. In the same year, she starred in Pootie Tang However, the scene where she appeared was cut. In the end, there is only a credit sequence. Bell was seen together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
